Angela Wright was successfully recruited in 2009 by The Lipman Group Sotheby's International Realty to develop, launch and operate Nashville’s first urban boutique real estate division, Urban Abode. Angela Wright and Kim Brasfield are principal owners of Urban Abode, specializing in urban neighborhoods that offer condos, lofts, high-rises, green buildings, and modern construction.
Prior to joining the firm, Angela was Principal Broker and founder of Abode Nashville and Carlwright Development. Abode Nashville, a boutique real estate firm, focused on the urban core of Nashville, Tennessee specializing in elite customer attention while building successful relationships. Carlwright Development acquired distressed properties and designed and built handcrafted homes in the Green Hills area.
Preceding the creation Abode Nashville, Angela worked with Giarratana Development and Giarratana-Novare Realty. Angela held an integral role on the development team and sales team for Viridian, downtown Nashville's first luxury tower condominium and Urban Land Institute's prestigious Project of the Year for 2007. In these roles, she deciphered pricing structures, aided in redesigning floor plans and targeted specific demographics for successful marketing campaigns. Angela led the Viridian sales team to successfully sell out the 305-unit tower six months prior to completion. After the completion of sales, Angela worked closely with the developers, buyers and closing attorney's to ensure a seamless closing.
After the pioneering success of Viridian, Angela admirably changed focus from new construction to the conversion of an 86 unit historic building, Bennie Dillon. At Bennie Dillon, Angela oversaw a successful sales and marketing plan on the 1926 historical edifice. She assisted in transitioning families from renting to purchasing within the building during the initial pre-sale efforts. Angela and her team organized and coordinated with tenants, construction crews and buyers to schedule walk through and move-ins.
In 2007, Angela consulted with Giarratana- Novare Realty on the pre-sale effort for Encore, a 333-unit luxury condominium tower in Nashville's SoBro District. Additionally in 2007, Angela continued to consult with Giarratana Development on the sales and marketing campaigns for Signature Tower.
Angela sits on the committee for Nashville's Downtown Partnership's Live It Up committee. She holds the GREEN designation from The National Association of Realtors and is a member of The Greater Nashville Association of Realtors. She is a Georgia native and lives in Nashville with her husband, Brian and their two children, Carlisle and Cole.
